Townsville Community Learning Centre students are enjoying school activities as one group for the first time, following the opening of their brand new multi-purpose hall.

Previously, the school had to meet as 4 separate groups as there was not an undercover space large enough to gather together.

The $8.7 million (including GST) hall provides a sports court and performance stage, opening pathways for a range of skills development, as well as a kiosk and 25 car parking spaces.

The facility is shared by the local community, providing a home base for the Happy Feet wheelchair basketball association and Townsville's community choir.
