This framework is intended to:

  • provide guidance to departmental regional, school-based and central office staff in understanding the elements of good decision-making practices
  • equip departmental regional, school-based and central office staff with a consistent and transparent approach to decision-making, governed by a set of principles and guiding questions to strengthen accountability, efficiency and ensure compatibility with relevant legislation.
