The Queensland Government is planning a new special school for central Logan (Berrinba). Planning approval for Stage 1 of the new special school has been granted and construction on the school has begun.
The new special school will be co-located next to Berrinba East State School on Queensland Government owned land.
This new special school for central Logan (Berrinba), and the new special school under construction in Logan Reserve, will help relieve enrolment demand on existing special schools in the area.
A Ministerial Infrastructure Designation amendment is proposed to seek town planning approval for Stages 2 and 3. If planning approval is received, the Queensland Government intends to complete construction of the proposed staff car park (Stage 2) in time for the school opening.
