Corporate Governance Framework

The Corporate Governance Framework outlines the principles, elements and mechanisms we use to support effective corporate governance.

Performance and development

The Public Service Commission provides executive performance and development frameworks to assist executives in managing their responsibilities, implementing the government's reform agenda, and meeting departmental commitments.

These frameworks use the balanced scorecard approach, with the following perspectives:

  • financial
  • stakeholder and outcome
  • internal business
  • learning and growth.

Developing performance

The Valuing Performance Policy Statement (PDF, 776KB) is the department's vision for a workplace culture in which every employee understands how their work contributes to departmental achievements, takes ownership of their own performance, feels valued, and is provided with opportunities and resources to grow as a professional and as a leader in their various fields.

The Developing Performance Framework provides the department's process for developing employee's performance. This process includes clarifying work priorities, discussing career aspirations and planning support for professional development opportunities to continue building capabilities.

Through the Developing Performance process, all employees reference the appropriate Capability Framework.
