​​If you are new to government and this department, you should familiarise yourself with our structure, our priorities and our policies in the Working for the department section of this website, and complete the mandatory induction program.

Your supervisor will provide you with local information and access to training in systems you will need to use. An excellent overview of departmental operations is found in our Corporate Governance Framework. The framework is underpinned by six foundation principles of public sector governance:
