​​Department of Education International (DEi), trading as Education Queensland International (EQI), provides education programs, services and experiences for students and teachers in Queensland and overseas.

Our activities sho​wcase Queensland’s world-class education system and support global connections within our schools and communities.

Consultation report

In late 2018, over 200 stakeholders were consulted, providing valuable insights about DEi’s current operations as well as opportunities to consolidate and expand its activities for the benefit of Queenslanders.

Products and services

The following DEi products and services are delivered in Queensland and offshore.

Offshore Projects Unit

The Offshore Projects Unit (OPU) delivers offshore education programs to students living outside of Australia who want to study the Queensland Curriculum, and provides project management and consulting services to international clients and schools overseas.

Global opportunities for Queenslanders

Queensland students, teachers and school leaders can access a range of international exchange programs, study tours and professional development opportunities through International Services.

Study programs for international students

Overseas students can choose from a range of International Student Programs offered at accredited Queensland state schools.

Study tours and professional visits

Tailored study tours and professional visits combine educational, tourism and cultural exchange activities for overseas students and professionals visiting Queensland state schools.

Temporary residents admissions

The Temporary Residents Admissions Centre (TRAC) assists families on temporary resident visas to enrol in Queensland state schools.
