Advancing Queensland Schools

The Advancing Queensland Schools (AQS) program, announced in March 2017, is an additional capital investment of $200 million providing new and updated assets including:

  • building new and upgrading existing halls at 30 state schools
  • strategic land purchases to support the expansion of existing state schools.

Of the 30 halls, 27 are now complete.

The following schools are receiving halls new or upgraded under the AQS program.

Kepnock State High School

Construction of Kepnock State High School's new multi-purpose hall is now complete. 

The new hall includes:

  • multi-purpose court area
  • gymnasium
  • science lab
  • kitchen/kiosk
  • office space
  • data room
  • amenities.

Kingaroy State High School

The new multi-purpose hall is complete at Kingaroy State High School.

The hall features:

  • multi-purpose court area
  • multi-purpose classroom
  • stage
  • audio-visual control room
  • data room
  • kitchen and kiosk
  • office space
  • amenities.
