Purpose-built special school opens in Coomera

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Multistory junior and senior learning blocks are just some of the facilities that opened to students of the brand new Coomera State Special School for Term 1, 2022.

Investing more than $50 million to complete stage one of the state-of-the-art special school in Coomera, the Queensland Government also delivered a resource centre, a multipurpose hall, hospitality and central amenities, sports oval, an administration block and car park with drop off areas for the school community.

Opening to more than 120 students, the school is part of a $1.9 billion investment in education infrastructure in 2021–22.

The purpose-built learning environment will provide unique and innovative opportunities to set students up for success.
