Early Childhood Education and Care Services Census

The Queensland Early Childhood Education and Care Services Census is an annual data collection from the early childhood education and care sector.

Census participants include all early childhood education and care services, including family day care and school aged care, and state and non-state schools that provide pre-preparatory (pre-Prep) programs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Collected information is used for planning and program development, monitoring outcomes of early childhood initiatives and the implementation of the National Law.

Census data helps to inform government initiatives, and is useful for communities and services in determining the characteristics of early childhood education and care provision in Queensland.

2017 data collection

This year's census begins on Monday 31 July 2017.

Services will have until Sunday 20 August 2017 to complete the survey.
