Kindy provides many play-based learning opportunities for your child.

But learning doesn't stop at the kindy gate.

At home, your child's education continues with your involvement.

The Kindy song

Download and listen to 'The kindy song' (MP3, 5.8MB) kindy ambassador Jay Laga'aia. You can also download the lyrics (PDF, 568KB) (RTF, 51KB) to learn the song and sing along with Jay.

'Monster Match' 'Monster Match' is a great way to spend some time playing games with your child. Download a copy of the game (PDF, 289KB) to print and play at home.

Note: If printing, you will need to print out 2 copies of the sheet in colour and cut along the dotted lines of each Monster Match letter.

When playing, encourage your child to take turns with others and encourage them to suggest new ways to use the game.

Looking at the Monster Match letters, you and your child can:

  • pull the same face the monster is making
  • match the monsters by colour
  • identify the monsters' moods
  • give the monsters a character and describe the foods they would eat
decide which of the monsters are friends.
